Wyoming is experiencing winter weather. Up to 8″ of snow in Alcova and it is still falling. We are also expecting windy conditions as the snow fall tapers. Drifts will follow.
Check the NPL weather station for current conditions. Right now it is 11* and the wind chill is -5*.
The roads are very slick and WYDOT has a no unnecessary travel warning for HWY 220. I25 is closed from the border to Douglas and I80 is shut down from Laramie to Rawlins.
We would recommend not attempting to get to Miracle Mile for several days. Deep and drifting snow will be an issue for a couple days then rapid warming will make it muddy for several days after that.
We will keep you posted as things change. As with ANY spring storm there is a possibility of a blowout on the river.
