Wyoming Fly Fishing

Been some awesome fish landed the past few days. Grey Reef is quiet and fishing well. Miracle Mile is a madhouse and fishing well. Fremont is somewhere in between. It is going to be breezy all week…but warm. Get your Thanksgiving guests out on the water, well worth it! Early and late will be the calmest conditions and midday is usually the pushier wind.

Other Thanksgiving activities include a Windy City Striders 5K run, the Bridle Trail is in good shape for a hike and you get completely out of the wind up in the trees. Mountain biking on Casper Mountain and Muddy Mountain will have you in a little snow and mud but mostly buff tacky single track. A quick drive out to Avenue of Rocks and Emigrant Gap to catch up on some Oregon Trail history. Waterfowl hunting all over the place or a pheasant preserve hunt on the banks of Grey Reef. Go fly a kite!…seriously, it is pretty darn fun when the wind is good. We like the new Kelly Walsh High School soccer field or the Casper College field at Mike Sedar Park. Casper has way too much to offer to let it pass due to a little breeze!
