17* in Casper and a pretty nice snow squall starting…already have a fair amount of fluff gracing the streets. 13* currently at the North Platte Lodge. It will not be a very forgiving weekend on the river. Roads to Miracle Mile may be treacherous? Temps will barely make the teens so expect a slushy river. Miracle Mile and the upper reaches of Grey Reef will be fine, however.

Things are proceeding nicely with the projects on Grey Reef Rd. We think you will be very pleasantly surprised at the result. With regard to the cottages and RV campground, a touch of class but a very casual, clean and beautiful setting. We won’t be the budget option but we will be very reasonably priced for what you get.

We will offer 3 levels of accommodations:

~RV sites are designed more like a forest service  campground instead of a parking lot. We chose not to optimize space for max occupancy but rather for max outdoor enjoyment.

~Cottages will be modern and full of light…maybe a touch nice for the dirtbag lifestyle, but live it up for a few days! These places will be nice enough for a romantic weekend getaway with your 2 best fishing buddies…or wife/husband, ha!

~North Platte Lodge has always been the benchmark of service on the North Platte River. Our new kitchen will allow us to provide even better meals and the additional rooms will accommodate 4 more anglers while maintaining the atmosphere you have loved for the past 14 seasons. The living spaces will be reworked. We are aware that this is unnecessary but we are always striving to create the perfect experience. A great secluded facility on the only private properties at Grey Reef, along with our well seasoned guide staff an untouched quantity of exclusive private access on one of the best trout rivers in the world has made the North Platte Lodge an amazing fly fishing experience. Now only better!
