It seems like we are in for great conditions across the board. Fishing is very good, water conditions are amazing and the weather is looking very favorable.
We have had lots of boats on the water and everybody is coming back smiling. The baetis hatch is in full swing. Light, short emerger rigs with any number of baetis patterns are working very well. My go to has been 4′, a black yarn indicator or white or black Thinga_ma_bobber, 5x fluoro tethered to a PAL and a Pulsating Emerger or foam post RS2. Hooking piles of fish but landing is 50/50! They are hot and tough to keep on. But, so much fun.
The 2 Fly Competition will be taking place on Thursday and Friday. There will be nearly 40 boats associated with this event so planning your day appropriately will be key. Call The Reef Fly Shop for suggestions.
North Platte Lodge is in full swing and the newly remodeled facility is very nice. Availability is limited but we do have some great spots on Memorial Day weekend. We do have one room left in early June. 3 rooms July 8-11. The NPL experience is unique. Our location is fantastic, the accommodations are great, guides can’t be beat etc. Every aspect of your trip is top notch. From the time we pick you up at the airport to the appetizers, meals, fishing, hosts, etc. The price is very affordable compared to many other fly fishing lodges. Cost/benefit ratio leans heavily to the benefit side.
Corporate groups?? Yes! NPL now accommodates 12 guests and our cottages can accommodate 12-16 more. We have space for casual meetings. This is a great opportunity for team building.

Adam and I had a great trip with you guys!! Adam is an experienced fly fisherman and I am a rank beginner – but we both did great – and caught over xxx fish in our 2 1/2 days fishing with you. We both especially want to let you know how great a guide JJ is. We thought you might want to see a couple of pics from our trip. Thanks again and see you all again soon.
