Grey Reef anglers are chilly today! We had a little winter get us in Central Wyoming. The roads are not great in the Casper or Alcova Area but they are improving. Wind will cause ground blizzards and significant drifting on the way to Miracle Mile. It would probably be best to stick to fishing Fremont Canyon or Grey Reef for the weekend. Next week looks good and the Miracle Mile roads will improve a bunch. Grey Reef fly fishing report is solid! Streamers are still getting plenty of kisses and the nymphing is excellent. Stick with easier feeding lanes most of the day and hit the drops and runs during the midge hatches. Miracle Mile fishing report is also very good. We’ve been having fun retrieving streamers on either a one or 2 handed rod. The swinging at Miracle Mile is great right now. Fremont is also full charged and streamers, nymphing and some dry fly available there. The North Platte River is clear and beautiful up until you hit Morad Park in Casper, Wyoming. Then it will get cloudy due to the in river construction going on.
This the week to shop for Christmas and your next season’s adventure. Don’t overlook a trip to the North Platte Lodge. A high quality fishing experience at the best location there is. Wyoming Fly Fishing doesn’t get any better with our industry crushing quantity of private access and the most experienced guide crew on the North Platte River.
