Glory Days!

Water conditions, the weather and fishing are pretty tough to beat right now.  We have transitioned nicely out of spring and officially entered the “Glory Days” of summer.  Flows are holding steady on the big three(Grey Reef, Fremont, Miracle Mile) right now and with drier atmospheric conditions-every stretch of the North Platte has excellent visibility.  We are starting to see small numbers of PMDs and caddis on lower Grey Reef.  The fish are keying in and it should only get better in the coming weeks.  With gradually rising water temperatures, blanket yellow sally hatches should be coming soon.

Like we mentioned above, lower river conditions are prime and early morning/late evening streamer activity is really starting to pick up.  Our guides have been squeezing in a few post work floats and every trip has produced some quality fish.  We have started to pick up more fish on a fast retrieve and top flies are as follows; rusty trombone, articulated goldie and/or a peanut envy.
